Product Summary

The SOIC20 adaptor is designed to allow programming of the Surface Mount versions of the very popular Atmel AT89Cx051 family and the AT90S1200/2313 in our GP-AT programmer. This adaptor will also work with other 20 pin microcontrollers. It can also be used with 18 pin micros as long as the package dimensions are:
0.05" (1.27mm) between pins
0.40" (10.16mm) across pins
0.30" (7.62mm) across the body

Key Features

• Small: PCB not much larger than a 24 pin DIP (26.5mm x 34.5mm).
• Simple to use: Plugs into the target 40 pin ZIF socket of your programmer. You place the SOIC chip into the adaptor and program normally.

Please note that the two rows of pins that plug into the programmer are 0.6" (15.24mm) apart. This adaptor will not plug into a 0.3" wide socket. Most programmers have "universal" sockets so this restriction is usually not a problem.
